A bit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the 80s, one of the things my big sister made which is seared on my retinas is a pair of yellow &#038; black striped leg warmers. <\/p>\n<p>My next project is a bit like that, only not black &#038; yellow. <\/p>\n<p>These were deferred and changed after <a href='http:\/\/www.jude.hanlon.co.uk\/blog\/?p=1592'>Steve demanded lovely-socks<\/a> for which I&#8217;d decided to use <a href='http:\/\/www.jude.hanlon.co.uk\/blog\/?p=1519'>my new favourite wool<\/a>. They went from plain 2&#215;2 rib in one colour to stripy stocking stitch. <\/p>\n<p>The colours were chosen because I like them, but they are slightly reminiscent of Leeds&#8217; purple &#038; green and Manchester&#8217;s purple. And blue, just because I&#8217;m loving this colour blue. <\/p>\n<p>They are based on <a href=\"http:\/\/artemisadornments.com\/2010\/12\/01\/kingsbridge-legwarmers\/\">these Kingsbridge legwarmers<\/a>, only (clearly) using fewer colours. They grew surprisingly quickly, and I overshot on both of them. Because, apparently having not paid enough attention the first time, I didn&#8217;t learn for the second time.
