This means I can walk around the kitchen or drive hands-free while also talking on the phone.<\/p>\n<p>This works fine if you&#8217;re a busy executive sitting in your car by yourself. If you&#8217;re a person with small people in a litchen it causes problems. I was testing the system with Dad last night, and both kids came running in shouting about drinks and biscuits. Here are the things:<\/p>\n<p>1. Dad could hear the kids as loudly as he could hear me, so I couldn&#8217;t ignore them and carry on like I usually do when they do this.<\/p>\n<p>2. When I said &#8220;Please stop shouting, I&#8217;m talking to Grandad&#8221; they didn&#8217;t believe me, and carried on shouting. I think they thought I&#8217;d finally lost it and started listening to The Voices or something. I didn&#8217;t ask Dad how loud the water going into the cups fcrom the tap was, but he asked at the end of the call if I&#8217;d managed to get anything else done while on the phone, so I guess he didn&#8217;t hear me making drinks.<\/p>\n<p>Roll on the Crazy Lady talking to herself in the kitchen!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have a new (hand-me-down, of course, I don&#8217;t get to have new technology very often in this house) mobile phone, with which my bluetooth headset works.
