Or at least, it was proving to be so until just before I drank a bit more wine &amp; relaxed into it. Oh, and started doing my purls into the back of the yarn-overs instead of the fronts, thus taking away the point of doing to yarn-overs.<\/p>\n<p>My first clue should have been where I picked the pattern up from, i.e. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yarnharlot.ca\/blog\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ms Pearl-McPhee<\/a>, who knits laceweight loads, and yet, had problems with this. I focussed on the &#8220;uses only one skein&#8221; and not on the &#8220;I had to frog it 4 times before I realised I was an idiot&#8221;.\u00a0 And me with no reference point as to whether I&#8217;m being an idiot in laceweight. Other than the baseline reference point, of course.<\/p>\n<p>Pictures after I get back from my tour of the tropical south, when hopefully more will have been achieved!<\/p>\n<p>Kinda started this in the hopes that I can find *some way* of seeing her in London on 6th Sept, and so can bring along &#8220;first shawl&#8221;, since &#8220;first sock&#8221; is now a bit of a fossil.
