<\/a>\nAnd so I was thinking “Holy crap, this thing is a lot harder than it looks”. It basically took me a day, admittedly with assorted trips top the washing machine and the playground, to do what you see here. Given that this is a long thin scarf stole thingy, we could be looking at updates of this thing for some time. Just sayin’<\/p>\n
On the other hand, this (see below) is growing like you wouldn’t believe. I cast on on the train on the way to work on Friday morning, and by the time I let up with Steve a 19:00 on Friday evening, I had something which, if draped in the right way and viewed in the right light, could already resemble a scarf. The fact that 90% of it is garter stitch helps a lot, plus the yarn is lovely (a gift from Our Debs, THANK YOU) helps a lot. This is very satisfying to do. And it’s draping like a beautiful drapey thing. It’s one of three things I have actively on the go at the moment, and as one is sweater for Diggy Digger, if I’m not finished with it by tomorrow teatime (my next Internet opportunity) you can probably kill me right there & then…<\/p>\n
