The image above is from a birthday card mum made for me a few years ago. <\/p>\n<p>I took the opportunity to combine my paper crafting stuff with mum&#8217;s, have a bit of a clear-out, and do some paper crafting.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jude.hanlon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/IMG_7039.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jude.hanlon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/IMG_7039.jpg\" alt=\"(null)\" class=\"alignnone\" width=500 \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not super-pleased with the results but hopefully with a bit of practice, I&#8217;ll improve.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jude.hanlon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/IMG_7040.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jude.hanlon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/IMG_7040.jpg\" alt=\"(null)\" class=\"alignnone\" width=500 \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Also, I think having so many embellishments &#038; features is a bit of a distraction and I&#8217;m better combining original script with actual crafting of paper &#8211; cut-outs and stamps in place of pre-made things.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jude.hanlon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/IMG_7041.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jude.hanlon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/IMG_7041.jpg\" alt=\"(null)\" class=\"alignnone\" width=500 \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I like the &#8220;your day&#8221; script as part of the main feature here. I&#8217;m not convinced by the embossing &#8211; that was something I&#8217;d did years ago, and I tried adding today&#8217;s stuff to improve the card. I&#8217;m not convinced it&#8217;s worked&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jude.hanlon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/IMG_7042.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jude.hanlon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/IMG_7042.jpg\" alt=\"(null)\" class=\"alignnone\" width=500 \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In other news, we took the opportunity of being short of polenta for tonight&#8217;s dish to try out the Lebanese restaurant in Southport. We got to their door, only to find they are temporarily closed. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jude.hanlon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/IMG_7043.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jude.hanlon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/IMG_7043.jpg\" alt=\"(null)\" class=\"alignnone\" width=500 \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So we went to the new Pizza Express on Lord Street.
