The house we bought had a lovely, spacious deck with amazing views (so, somewhat exposed) however, it looked like Rumpelstilskin had been having a party on it, as several of the boards had been smashed through. Also, trusty contractors Owen & Jerry have work to do repairing a hole in the roof, so lovely spacious deck had to go… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We at least know now that if there was<\/em> a nest of unwelcome creatures under the deck, they have had to move elsewhere at a moment’s notice. Eventually this will be replaced, but in the short term, we can enjoy walking around this bit of the house without worrying that we’re going to disappear… (we’ve picked up the water bowl since I took this picture!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

…And on a smaller scale, I did a bit of a thing this weekend on the box hedge, which was thratening to obscure the view…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
