<\/a><\/p>\nIt was finished in the space of a weekend. So, two evenings for the knitting, and an early morning for the ornamentation.<\/p>\n

This got me to thinking, and I wondered if the petal motif would translate into a scarf… It may be a bit narrow, but by jove I think it might…<\/p>\n I haven’t lined up the two sides as well as I might – I think I started the second petal a couple of rows too early, but generally it’s working well.<\/p>\n To copy – get “Gifted” ( \ud83d\ude09 ) \u00a0work the 5-stitch i-cord as\u00a0instructed, then instead of the many increases, start the petal on the middle stitch, with a knit & pearl on each side. After (?) 3 YO increases, start the second row of petals. When you get to the end of the YO increases on a petal, start the next petal on that side thus: knit across the non-increase row, then on the wrong side, KPK into the single stitch between petals.<\/p>\n Keep knitting until you have a decent sized scarf. I haven’t decided how I’ll finish it off yet – possibly knit the final 2 petals to separate points.<\/p>\n And the final step?
