The bonsai tree my mother has trusted me to keep alive (although not enough to not bet on me killing it, remember), a yarn harlot book from Steve (see, he *does* pay attention), scrapbooking papers from Karen (including Laura Ashley papers, very lovely indeed), and some home-grown hand-dyed Real Wool (none of your plastic) from Elvincraft from me – aren’t I lovely!

I envy the Yarn Harlot her birthday plans. Today I ferry Lily to & from Moorgate, then to & from St Anne’s (first taster session) and then drive to Llandudno, where some kind of birthday tea might happen. I’d rather be fully knitting-focussed and doing something related to World Wide Knit in Public Day. Maybe next year!

Now I really *do* have to go & pack for the weekend!

ps. for WWKIP day the best I could do was knitting in the hotel bar in Criccieth. Sort-of fits the bill, and given that I was the youngest person there by at least 20 years (not counting the bar staff) I like to think I was making a statement…

  1. Add to that stash some exquisitely hand-made knitting type accessory pressies from yours truely which will shortly be winging their way up country 😉

That’s what I did on my holiday, that is. See how much I love you?
