OK, I’m an idiot. If you read the abbreviations list at the end of the book, it turns out EOR means Every Other Row, not End Of Row, which then means the instructions make perfect sense.
I’m putting this down to my computer programming background, where EOL and EOF mean End Of Line and – File respectively. Can someone tell Teva Durham she’s (possibly along with the rest of the knitting community) misleading mutli-disciplinary programmers who by the very nature of their techno-joy DON’T READ THE MANUAL.
So, the upshot is that sleeve 2 is now finished (I know – you blink, and another bit of this jumper is finished. It may not be done within the 12 days, but I’m hoping for Tom’s birthday on 9th as a revised target…) and I’ve started on the top-down body. I have a neckline!
