We’re now under plastics at Alder Hey, where the clinic is in the same ward as where Lily had her op in April.

It’s healing well, although slower than if it was smaller and not bandaged up. We need to go back again next Monday, with a view to either discharge or going back later in the week, and if we’re not discharged later in the week it’s because they’re talking skin grafts. The concern is that the scarring would hamper mobility if left to heal over too long a period.

I tried brow-beating myself at the doctor, but he pointed out that it could have been much worse, and he’s right. Onwards & upwards!
