We attempted to support the curriculum this week by going to the science museum to look at the planes & cars – Lily’s doing Transport at the moment. It snowed. We went to the Railway Building and Lily got freaked out by the Emergency Exit signs as she didn’t realize they only applied in the event of an emergency, and then got even more freaked out by the Victorian Sewer you got to walk through because of the realistic sound effects.
I’ve frogged the sea-lettuce scarf and will attempt a similar but narrower design in the hopes that it might fit round my neck.
Francie socks are coming on. At the rate I’m going, I’ll finish the socks before the accompanying book, which is good.
It’s really cold. I’m hoping snow doesn’t impede our Alder Hey trip tomorrow.
We’ve booked the Work Farm for next weekend. Lily has a new swimming costume, Joel a new pack of swimming nappies and a plastic bag for his hand…
It’s a busy week this week. Selection meetings for the county and business networking on Tuesday. Will make the most of sitting down this evening.
I had a sleep-over in Lily’s room last night. Lily has invited Daddy to sleep over tonight. I wonder where she got that idea from? Mwah-ha-haaaaaa!!
Our drippy loft is still drippy, even after Steve checked it today. His conclusion is it needs a plumber on the case.
We’re going to get a skip to get rid of our excess rubbish, mainly from outside. I’m voting for the weekend after next, in a sooner-the-better kind of way.
Steve upgraded the operating system on his tablet PC. It would have been a smoother process if it hadn’t switched itself off halfway through re-sizing the partitions. Honestly, neither of the kids was anywhere near it. The whole thing was quite frustrating.
My elvincraft chunky sweater is quite itchy, but I’m getting used to the fit now. Joel had a manic fit about his cardigan touching his neck half way back from the museum, when we wer eon the motorway. The cardi is now in the charity bag.
I’ve typed all this while Steve is trying to play old episodes of 24 from his PC on the telly. Pictures good, sound not so good. I’m goung to start the scarf now and see if I can get it done before the sound is sorted….
