of a similar conversation I had with Lily.

Recently I asked Lily if she would like me to knit her a cardigan. She said “yes”, and then added a few qualities it should have:

• butterflies
• be mainly pink
• kittens
• possibly puppies
• fairies
• princesses
• and, if I really must, a rainbow

I should have been firmer on the hat issue. I can’t help but feel it’s coming back to haunt me…
