Today’s to-do list started with 11 things on it. Not all of them have been completed, but a few have, and other things have been added.

• Wash car(s). This hasn’t happened.
• Sort yarn. This hasn’t happened yet.
• Put some stuff on eBay. This hasn’t happened.
• Stitched Up pattern and blog post. This hasn’t happened yet.
• Finish off in-progress knitted items. Completing this today would be a stretch anyway: I plan to partially complete this tonight.
• Design linen knitted top. This has been going on in my head, and I saw this in M&S this morning which may help with some of the ideas I have…
  
• Get back pack for Steve – tick!
  
• Clean out rats – tick!
• trip to pets@home – tick!
• Buy schooliform – tick! (partial, but fits the brief)
  
• Call Dad – tick!
• added: clean the car – tick! (I promise you, the amount of sand there was before cleaning makes this a major achievement)
  
• added: Weed a bit of the yard – tick!
  
  I’ve actually done more since I took this – the big patch of clover is gone now.
• Added: clean out the yard drain (which was full of mud, and had 2 plants growing in it) – tick!
  
• Added: cut back plants under kitchen & spare room windows – tick!
• Added: check the bathroom drain for blockages from the outside (it’s draining v slowly)

Plus the usual several loads of laundry.

And, in other news, we had a very exciting 2-ambulance crash on the road outside at lunchtime. I *think* everyone walked out of it OK, but the cars we saw being driven away 2 hours later were considerably shorter than they are usually supposed to be…

Also, I’m the worst mother ever (with extra door slamming) because I’ve told them to go and spend 10 minutes tidying their rooms after an afternoon’s noisy game of vikings and princesses.
