the good & the bad

We went to O’Este for the first time – it was a fab revelation & probably the best meal we’ve had in Ormskirk so far. Good food, good service & bizarre but excellent music.

The cat used the unusual litter I had to get because we ran out. So, we were greeted by a strong smell of poo on our return, but it was from the right place so that’s good.

Friday night telly has gone down the shot-hole since Jonathan Ross was suspended. I’m sorry, but it has. We sat through about 30 seconds of “I’m a celebrity” before we had to turn over or resort to recorded programmes. The only bright spark on the horizon is the IT Crowd @ 10pm, although that’s in doubt since series 2 started as being pointy-mock-the-socially-inept instead of actual insightful humour. They set the bar high with Moss’s “I need my slightly bigger glasses for this” but I thought they could survive the depatrure of Chris Morris. They have yet to prove that they can.

Update: not sure they’ve regained the standard. Maybe there just isn’t enough material. COuld be because I was drunk & falling alseep, tho!!

Really. Sort out the telly. Deliver cat litter to my house like coal is delivered – or cork my cat. Get me out to O’Este more. And use less plastic(!) Then I’ll be happy.
