While I was on a long weekend in Derbyshire (see below) I acquired some yarn to make a pair of socks for my friend. I finished making them while I was on holiday in Portugal. I will show you them another time, as they are still a surprise for the intended recipient.
However there was, as usual, quite a bit of yarn left over, and my other projects were non-enticing, so I embarked on some left-overs socks, safe in the knowledge that I have some of the same yarn in a different colour at home. I worked the foot of sock 1 until I thought roughly half the remaining yarn had been used, then put the sock on holding yarn and started sock 2.
Tonight, I ran out of the first lot of yarn on sock 2.
Really, all I can say to this is: get in. Get. In. It doesn’t get much better than this without weighing scales. That’s within 8 rows, that is.
Get in.
